Image resolution
image resolution can be identified as the width and height of a image and the number of pixels a image is made out of. the more pixels the image is made out of the higher quality you can expect. On a computer the larger screen you have the higher resolution you may use on you desktop background.
The quality of the image can also be manipulated by compressing it

Picture resolution
picture resolution is the resolution your computer/phone/tablet ETC is set as. unlike the Image resolution you cannot change this unless you get a new monitor or phone. Obviously the bigger monitor you will need to have a higher resolution images to fill up your screen with a decent looking background.

intensity
intensity is the number of pixels you have in the image. As i said before the higher number of pixels you have in a image the nicer looking and smoother the image will look
